Jennifer provides culturally responsive and actionable research and evaluation consulting, helping clients translate research and data into solutions and action. She has a decade of experience providing creative, effective and research and evaluation support to nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and foundations. Some of her past clients include: Southeast Community Foundation, Mission Neighborhood Health Center, Black Educator Advocates Network, the San Francisco Association of Realtors, Institute for Public Strategies, and First 5 San Bernardino.
Her expertise in K-12 education policy and utilizing research to drive and support community organizing has lead to community transformations. During her 5-year tenure at Innovate Public Schools, a nonprofit education organizing and advocacy organization, she published over a dozen reports available in English and Spanish that were distributed to thousands of families in Los Angeles and the Bay Area. These reports put research and data in the hands of the people closest to the issues so that they could drive the changes they wanted & needed in their districts and communities. Her work has been featured by the ABC 7, LA School Report, LA Times, EdSource, La Opinión, and Univision.

Jennifer worked closely with the Black Educator Advocates Network (BEAN) to design and conduct a survey of current and former Black educators in California. Read the full report to learn what Black educators shared and what their recommendations are for school and district leaders.

Jennifer worked closely with the San Francisco Association of Realtors (SFAR) to design and conduct its first annual SFAR Membership Survey. A total of 727 members took the survey, representing an 18% response rate. The purpose of the survey was to 1) understand the diversity and experiences of SFAR’s membership, and 2) inform how SFAR creates spaces for conversations that impact membership’s diversity, equity, and inclusion.

During her time at Innovate Public Schools, Jennifer led and managed the development of a guide to help parents across Los Angeles Unified understand key pillars of the district’s 2022-26 Strategic Plan. This guide was developed in partnership with Los Angeles Unified and equips parents to engage in powerful conversations with school and district leaders to ensure schools are meeting goals for students. During her time at Innovate Public Schools, Jennifer led and managed two annual Top Schools reports (2019 and 2020) that identified schools closing opportunity gaps for low-income African American and Latino students in Los Angeles County and the Bay Area. Innovate partnered with the University of Southern California to produce the report for Los Angeles, which includes video school profiles and data stories. This report was featured in K-ABC, La Opinion, the LA Times and LA School Report.
